About
The mission of this site is to provide a prospective view of local Albuquerque restaurants. Eat Albuquerque is looking to have multiple reviewers submitting their opinions of local dining in Albuquerque. Comments are for anyone to give their opinions of the restaurants. Our hope is that this site can become a collaborative community of restaurant reviews, opinions, recipes, and book reviews.

I am not a food critic, or restaurant expert. I am just a normal person who likes food. The reason that I like writing food reviews is because I want to share what I know with other people. I love trying new foods and restaurants, but I usually get a little nervous about going into a new place. I think most people do, which is why chains are so popular. However, I don’t like the concept of chains and I prefer local restaurants. I like Eat! Albuquerque and other food review web sites, because I can read about a restaurant before I make a visit. Sometimes, I cannot make up my mind about what I want, so I end up eating my same old favorites. I hope that you can use my reviews on one of those days when you just can’t decide where you want to go.

Hello, I am the creator of this site. I started Eat Albuquerque as a way for regular people to express there likes and dislikes of local Albuquerque restaurants. Eat Albuquerque also gives readers a way to search and explore local restaurants. The idea of having multiple reviewers was based on a episode of Seinfeld(video store movie picks episode). Multiple reviews I hope can allow for more diversity in tastes and opinions. I hope that the readers can get something useful from Eat Albuquerque. Let me know if you have comments, need to report errors or would like to submit reviews.

Likes: down-home cooking, quality ingredients, good presentation, friendly waitstaff (And since I’ve been both a diner waitress and a cocktail waitress before, I know how to recognize the real deal.) I love spicy food and anything that’s made with butter.
Dislikes: On the one hand, I hate pretentiousness in a place. Good grief, this is New Mexico. On the other, I despise chain restaurants or anything that feels cheesy or generic.
I love food, but I also love the social nature of eating; there’s nothing better than sitting around a table with good food, friends and family. This sense of community extends beyond the home and into the dining rooms of restaurants. Having grown up in a small town, I experienced firsthand the social role that restaurants fulfill. And there are so many different things that a restaurant can be: a good spot to be alone and to people-watch, someplace to be seen when you’re single, a reliable dive in which to find comfort food, the scene of a great first date, a good place to take an infant (where people won’t be bothered if she’s grumbling…), someplace to take the parents when they’re visiting from out of town. Restaurants are about the atmosphere as well as the food, and I think a good restaurant is as important for the soul as the palate.
