I just ordered my first Lotaburger meal in a while. And I spent $8.46 for 3 items ALL of which were wrong. I knew the drink was wrong while I was there at the stand and just accepted it. Little did I know everything else was wrong.
There was no one else there at the moment so I know it was not someone elses order.
Beware!! Take someone who speaks Spanish, it might help.

I just wanted to say I am also Native to New Mexico and still live here, and I always liked blakes until recently as another person explained the meat is way to thin it seems like i am just eating bread, and also you really do need to hire someone who speaks English there are like 4 or 5 locations in Santa Fe alone and there all spanish or mexican speakers in each location and because of this they do mess up the orders and there time to complete your order has really grown now you have to wait forever and then get the wrong order. Since when did we become Mexico instead of New Mexico.

I live in Albuquerque for many years and loved the Lotaburger. I’m sad to hear they are now using frozen patties. They use to get fresh lean beef from a local slaughter plant and grind and form their own patties shipping them to stores daily.Fresh meat with quality control makes a big difference.

I’m an Albuquerque native and grew up on Lotaburgers. Lotaburger was the name I knew and later it became Blake’s Lotaburger. To my knowledge, all stores are family owned. Any trip to New Mexico includes at least one stop at a Blake’s, if not more. I also know the last place to buy a Lotaburger heading north on I-25 or west on I-10. I’ll hit them whenever entering or leaving the state. Yes, the patty is thinner now. I often go for a double meat “It’s a burger.” The bun is smaller, I get twice the meat and the taste is the same as the Lota! Now I’ve got the taste buds geared up for a return trip to New Mexico.

haven’t gotten the bug for this place. They could go out of business and I’d never notice. Only reason I eat there is because my wife is hooked. The bun is soaked with beef fat from the burgers. Yuck! I’d sooner go to BK and pay 1/2 the price AND have the charbroiled flavor.

I was born and raised in ABQ but have lived in Nevada for many years now. The cravings for a Blake’s with extra green never goes away!

I wish Blakes would hire at least ONE person to work in the store that knows English, everytime I phone in an order it’s completely wrong when I receive it. Fixing the order then becomes another major difficulty.

Meat: Burnt on the outside; FROZEN in the middle.

I’ve gone to the store at 3207 Richmond NE for a few years, but after todays (06/04/08) experience I will not be returning. The meat I was served was – to put it nicely – the worst thing I have ever eaten in my entire life. I would have Taken it back and demanded a refund had I not been several miles away by the time I got to the middle of the burger, I’ve already been sick once and I’m not feeling any better. I will never again be returning to Blakes and will not be suggesting it to anyone I know.

I am originally from Albuquerque, NM but I now live in North Carolina. I visit when I can and when I do I love to eat at Lotaburger. I am very interested in opening up a franchise in my town. I have all idea that it would be very successful. Can you please let me know if this is possible.

I think they put crack in the burgers because I can’t figure out why I’m addicted to them!!!
