Today was the worst day of my life eating out at what was once concidered one of the best resteraunts here in the Albuquerque area..

We had made reservations to have a nice brunch after the christing of my grandson at 1:30 sunday afternoon, we got there just a little after 1pm and was told that our reservations were at 2:30.. there were 18 of us including the church pastor and his wife.. we were told that we would not be seated until 2:20 by the very very very rude manager!! she was horrible.. once we were seated we went unnoticed for what seamed like hours!! once we did recive our food it was so gross that we almost had to force it down our mouths.. I can't belive just how horrible Sadies has become... Shame,Shame,Shame.
I will never ever step foot into this horrible place again.. and will advice my many friends of this as well..

Little Anitas's New Mexican Is one of the best resturants in the Albuquerque Area. But i will no longer eat at the location on Paseo Del Norte and San Pedro one of their new location. Reason being Service!, Food is great but being treated in such a way its not worth it.
Upon my first visit i was with family and we asked for chips and salsa (because they have a sign that sais chips and salsa upon request for a few dollars). Shortly after asking our waiter comes to take our order, No chips and salsa. we ask again and he sais will be right out... We get our order and ask again and sais it will be right out... We see him take chips and salsa to another table, we ask again and he sais it will be right out... he brings our check and has the nerve to ask if we needed anything else... still no chips and salsa.
Upon my second visit i brought a client that as i likes mexican and because it had be a few months sence my last vist i figured i would try it again.. Half way through our meal my client and I had emptied our drink glasses. From that point on till we got our check the cups sat at the edge of the table and the waiter had visited us 3 times and had not refilled our drinks. Still sitting there enjoying our conversation the busser comes by to ask we still useing our empty glasses or did we want them removed... we had them removed and left, not feeling like we were welcomed to stay any longer in the nearly EMPTY resturant.

Now their location in Corrales i will continue to go to because their service is like that of a 5 star resturant. But no longer will i continue to go to the location on Paseo Del Norte and San Pedro.

i too have been a steady customer of the frontier. unfortunately, recently, the quality has taken a dip. twice the breakfast eggs have caused an upset stomach and just this morning the bacon and pancakes were overcooked. i think someone needs to spend just a bit more time supervising staff who - seem more intent on visiting among themselves than providing good service to customers.

FYI-
The owners as of August '07 are from Abq. They have stayed true to the original owners recipes and have almost all the original staff still working there.'
Cake Fetish cupcakes must remain refrigerated because the real butter buttercream will melt in the heat (also a health department requirement).
They must be doing something right since they are opening their 3rd location this month wiht lots of loyal customers from in town and out of town.

What a bunch of crazies! I think Durans has the best red chile enchiladas in town. I won't order anything else because this plate is a winner. Not to mention the delicious home-made tortillas! I'm always impressed with their food and always leave stuffed. I feel that if you leave unfulfilled, you are probably one of those americans that gorge yourself on huge meals. This isn't Tex-Mex, it's New Mexican, and I feel that it is refreshing to be able to taste the chile without it burning up your taste buds.

Huevos rancheros at Duran's is not just eggs and chile. It is eggs, chile, beans, potatoes, and cheese on a homemade flour tortilla. The red chile at Duran's is the best in the city. This is real New Mexican food.

I'm from the Oakland Bay Area in beautiful California but my family has been from Albuquerque for many generations. Every chance I get I go to El Modelo when I'm in town or my Mom has it waiting for me upon my arrival. I noticed you describe El Modelo as Mexican food but I've always known it to be authentic NEW Mexican food! A friend of mine and her husband are taking a motorcycle ride through some of the states and I'm giving them the address to make sure they stop by El Modelo to eat some great New Mexican food! Like the stuffed sopaipillas, they are the best! They will be coming all the way from San Ramon, CA and I know they won't be dissapointed!
