Flying Star Opens New Location At The Santa Fe Railyard Today

The Albuquerque restaurant and coffee chain, Flying Star Café has opened its newest location today at the Santa Fe railyard.

Flying Star Café Santa Fe is 6,500 square feet with an on-site bakery and the largest menu of any of the chain’s locations. The company held a job fair in March and has hired 100 people for the new location.

It is the first restaurant to open in The Railyard, which has other restaurants expected to open in the next two years. Flying Star has outdoor patio seating for 50 and is next to Santa Fe’s downtown Rail Runner stop. [NM Business Weekly]

Flying Star is known for their organic food offerings, a full coffee and tea bar and a huge selection of pastries and desserts. Recommendation: Blues Burger (bleu cheese, bacon & swiss cheese) and slice of carrot cake.
