Little Anita’s New Mexican Food
Little Anita’s serves New Mexican food. There are several locations around Albuquerque; 2105 Mountain Rd N.W., 3314 Isleta S.W., 2000 Menaul N.E. and 6131 4th St. N.W. I usually go to the location on Rio Grande. The atmosphere is very festive with touristy New Mexican décor. There are plenty of tables and booths as well as a bar. The location on Mountain has an inviting outdoor patio area.
The food is traditional New Mexican food. The portions are decent. I have not been disappointed with the flavor of the dishes. The chile is tasty and about medium hot. Growing up we used to go to the Little Anita’s walk up restaurant on Isleta. I always loved getting the stuffed sopapilla with red chile. The service is not always outstanding, and the wait is usually outrageous. I have received poor service a few times in the past at the Rio Grande location. Try to stay away from the Rio Grande location during high tourist times. All in all, I would recommend Little Anita’s for the flavor of their dishes.

Little Anitas’s New Mexican Is one of the best resturants in the Albuquerque Area. But i will no longer eat at the location on Paseo Del Norte and San Pedro one of their new location. Reason being Service!, Food is great but being treated in such a way its not worth it.
Upon my first visit i was with family and we asked for chips and salsa (because they have a sign that sais chips and salsa upon request for a few dollars). Shortly after asking our waiter comes to take our order, No chips and salsa. we ask again and he sais will be right out… We get our order and ask again and sais it will be right out… We see him take chips and salsa to another table, we ask again and he sais it will be right out… he brings our check and has the nerve to ask if we needed anything else… still no chips and salsa.
Upon my second visit i brought a client that as i likes mexican and because it had be a few months sence my last vist i figured i would try it again.. Half way through our meal my client and I had emptied our drink glasses. From that point on till we got our check the cups sat at the edge of the table and the waiter had visited us 3 times and had not refilled our drinks. Still sitting there enjoying our conversation the busser comes by to ask we still useing our empty glasses or did we want them removed… we had them removed and left, not feeling like we were welcomed to stay any longer in the nearly EMPTY resturant.
Now their location in Corrales i will continue to go to because their service is like that of a 5 star resturant. But no longer will i continue to go to the location on Paseo Del Norte and San Pedro.
