I assume that everyone in Albuquerque has heard of Dion’s. They have several locations around the city. They serve pizza, subs and salads. You can eat-in or take-out. You order at the counter and when your food is ready, your name is called. The atmosphere is casual, and sometimes loud because it is a popular place for teenagers. They also have drive through windows, so that you can call in an order and then pick it up.
The food is always great. The pizza has hand tossed crust with plenty of toppings. You can order a whole pizza, or by the slice. The subs come in 6in or 10in sizes and are served with chips and Greek dressing. Depending on the type of sub, I usually substitute the dressing for ranch. Dion’s makes great salads with plenty of cheese and meat. They make their own dressings, which are outstanding. The prices of their food are very reasonable.
Dion’s is one of those places that almost everyone loves. I have enjoyed this food since I was young. It is a fun, casual place where you can go on your own, or with a whole soccer team. If you call in take-out, make sure your order is correct before you leave. They do make mistakes, but are very willing to correct them.

Dion’s ambiance as an 8?! I would hate to see what you would give something like Village Inn- likely an 11 by these standards.

Ooh, its getting heated, but where is the 11 scale coming from Miss Tenacity? I’m going to agre with both of them, their pizzas arent that good to me personally, theres something bland about them. And the ambiance is nice for a fast food type of restaurant, maybe thats what you mean. I guess you would have to classify it between fast food and restaurant atmosphere.
I love the quality of Dion’s with a grab-and-go type of operation, I wish more places would offer this with quality food. I would never go to another fast food place again.

For a pizza around the same price (but bigger) that you can just call in and take home, it’s hard to beat Coscto’s Food place. An 18″ pizza is right around $12 bucks (supreme) I believe and they taste great!

Several years ago Dion’s had the market. Now it’s a step above Chucky Cheese. Serious, only thing missing is the games. The pizza is meager. I tried the subs several times and can get better at Smith’s Deli.
