A new pizzeria and wine bar called Farina Pizzeria is be planed for east downtown Albuquerque. The new restaurant is the latest brain child of Artichoke Cafe owners Terry and Pat Keene.

The new restaurant will offer a casual, less costly alternative to the nearby Artichoke Cafe, which is among the city’s most successful fine dining establishments. The Artichoke is at 424 Central Ave. SE.

Farina Pizzeria will offer eight different pizzas that will be available in slices as well as full course meals.

In addition, microbrew beers from Marble Brewery will be available.

The historic building has been redone with tiles and other upgrades and a fall opening is being planned.

The pizzeria will be a great addition to local restaurants being developed in East Downtown Albuquerque.

Good move you can’t really go wrong with an upscale pizza restaurant.

Can’t wait to try this place when it opens up.

If you’re looking for a more traditional pizza place that has good eats, check out Tony’s on 5th/Roma.
