This charming little pizza place is located on Rio Grande just north of Central (Across from Walgreens) in Albuquerque’s historic Old Town. Perhaps the atmosphere is what makes this place so appealing. The 150 year old house is filled with cleverly decorated tables and walls.

The menu consists of pizza, calzones, pastas, sub sandwiches and various appetizers. During lunch a small “all you can eat” buffet is served in the dining room ($7.99, $4.99 for kids).

Old Town Pizza serves a wide variety of beer including locally brewed Mable beer.

Finding parking in Old Town can be tricky but there are two paid lots on the north side of Central, west of Rio Grande. During the holidays one of the lots offers free parking.

My family and I ate here during our recent trip to Albuquerque while attending the balloon fiesta.

The staff was friendly and the shop was charming, but the pizza was terrible. The crust was on par with a freezer pizza. I hope this is not the a representation of the pizza scene in Albuquerque.
