The service was great and so was the food...until the next day. All three of us came down with some sort of food poisoning. We had wicked stomach cramps and "bathroom issues" for the next week. It was a horrible experience (like nothing I've ever lived through before). Nothing tasted "funny" that day, so we were none the wiser. A few days later, I sent an email to Sadie's (phone didn't have a charge). I was unable to find an email on their "regular" website, so I sent one through the Sadie's Salsa website. I never heard back from them...how sad. I wish they could have at least addressed/recognized my predicament/issues and showed some concern. Instead, the person who monitors the website ignored it. I didn't think to get in touch with the NM Department of Health to report my concerns until almost a week later (probably too late for any type of tests to be run). So, it looks like another case of food poisoning will go undocumented. Again, this is my first incident of its type since I have been going there over the years. Soemtimes I stop in and buy a pint and some chips to take home. Their papitas are my favorite. A huge plate of papitas with chile and cheese is $5 and I always take home leftovers. Anyone who is looking for a good quality in new mexican food go to La Salita on Eubank and Constitution. It is the best food in the city. They do not clean up after... let's just say... "accidents". The food is good but for the sake of mine and my families health I will NEVER EVER go back. And trust me I know someone who worked there. They need more waitstaff. Success has not treated them kindly. I do take home half my meal as it's big enough (and $$) for at least another full serving. We had made reservations to have a nice brunch after the christing of my grandson at 1:30 sunday afternoon, we got there just a little after 1pm and was told that our reservations were at 2:30.. there were 18 of us including the church pastor and his wife.. we were told that we would not be seated until 2:20 by the very very very rude manager!! she was horrible.. once we were seated we went unnoticed for what seamed like hours!! once we did recive our food it was so gross that we almost had to force it down our mouths.. I can't belive just how horrible Sadies has become... Shame,Shame,Shame. I will never ever step foot into this horrible place again.. and will advice my many friends of this as well.. It was my favorite resteraunt for years. BEWARE though. Last time we ate there my entire family (10 people) came down with HORRIFIC cases of food poisoning.
