Yasmine’s Café is a small cafe near UNM on Central, west of University. They serve Mediterranean, cuisine, although Middle Eastern Favorites adorn the menu. The atmosphere is casual, with small tables, and a walk up and order counter. The menu has a lot of choices and price ranges. The menu is hard to understand if you are not familiar with Middle Eastern cuisine. The food is reasonably priced.

Yasmine’s is a good place for those of you who want to try different types of food. One of my favorite foods is the Gyro sandwich which is quite good. If you want to try more exotic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern favorites, Yasmine’s offers a good combination plate, which includes different types of Kebobs and Shawermas. I love their hummus and their felafel sandwiches. They are known for their wide verity of Kebabs and meat pies. My favorite appetizers are Dalmas which are grape leaves with rice inside. Yasmine’s offers fresh baked pita bread at a reasonable price. At the counter you will see a large selection of flavorful Baklavas.

I love the authentic food and atmosphere at Yasmine’s. There are hookas for sale and beautiful bags. There is also pleasant background music. The service is inconsistent. I have received good service and poor service. I often order take out from Yasmine’s because it is one of my favorite restaurants. I usually get an appetizer, a sandwich and desert. This is one of those must try places.
